How Can One Hear The Voice of God

What should we do when trials come? What are the keys to hearing God’s voice during a trial?

I believe the way we choose to look at the challenges, hardships and failures in our life will determine the outcome of our lives. 

In my case, God has been teaching me to look at my trials as blessings in disguise. Amid tribulations, the more I force myself to keep the focus on seeking first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, the more I can feel in my heart God’s voice telling me, “I love you, my son. Trust in me.”

I reassure you HE is saying the same thing to you. Always remember His promise, as stated in Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

I would love to demonstrate this with a beautiful, inspiring and uplifting documentary I watched last night.

The documentary titled “In A Silent World” features Rachel Lawrence Biser, her dad Marshall Lawrence, and their family (Silent Blessings Deaf Ministries).

In A Silent World tells the story of Rachel as a deaf child, and her family’s quest to provide her with the same opportunities as the hearing impaired. Her father, a song writer, is determined to inspire her and other deaf children to learn about Jesus and does so by creating music videos for his original Christian songs. The videos feature children singing, dancing, and signing about God’s love for all His children. In A Silent World is a heartwarming, inspiring and informative look into the life of the deaf, how they learn and grow in life, and in God, and how Rachel heard for the first time that God loves her.

I love what Rachel said about the best gift God ever gave her. She said, “my deafness is the best gift God gave me, Because it makes me special.”

Hearing God’s voice doesn’t mean you will necessarily hear His audible voice. I believe it started from the presumption that He loves you and wants to communicate with you.
